Weekly Wine Tastings

 
 

We hold free wine tastings in the shop every Thursday from 5:30 until 8:00 pm. We generally feature wines from a particular region, winemaker, or importer, and often the winemakers or importers are on hand to talk about their wines.


On the last Thursday of each month, we pour the wines from our upcoming Collector’s Club for everyone to try. And once a month, usually on the third Saturday, we feature a local winemaker for a special Saturday tasting, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Our tastings are always very casual—just drop by, pick up a glass, and see what you like! (Must be at least 21 years old to participate)

Upcoming Schedule

  1. ✦July 15  (Thursday, 5:30 to 8:00 pm) — German Rieslings from Mosel producer Dr. Loosen, with special guest, Ernst Loosen, who is visiting Seattle this week.  A rare treat!


  1. ✦July 17  (SPECIAL SATURDAY TASTING, 2:00 to 5:00 pm) — We welcome winemaker Steve Brooks, of Trust Cellars in Walla Walla, to share his wines with us.


  1. ✦July 22  (Thursday, 5:30 to 8:00 pm) — Wines from the Sorting Table, a select portfolio of terroir-driven, boutique wineries. French wines and more!


  1. ✦July 29  (Thursday, 5:30 to 8:00 pm) — August Collector’s club wines. Open to all.


  1. ✦August 5  (Thursday, 5:30 to 8:00 pm) — Matt Gubitosa, of Animale Wine will be pouring his latest releases.


  1. ✦August 12  (Thursday, 5:30 to 9:00 pm) — Latin American wines, with Cat Bogdon, of TGIC. Note extended hours for Art Walk.


  1. ✦August 19  (Thursday, 5:30 to 8:00 pm) — Spanish wines, from Small Vineyards’ Iberian portfolio.


  1. ✦September 11  (SPECIAL SATURDAY TASTING, 2:00 to 5:00 pm) — Wines from Buty Winery, with Nina Buty Foster


  1. ✦September 25  (SPECIAL SATURDAY TASTING, 2:00 to 5:00 pm) — Reininger Winery, with winemaker Chuck Reininger. Always a treat!


  1. ✦October 30  (SPECIAL SATURDAY EVENT, 2:00 to 5:00 pm) — Local restaurateur extraordinaire, and founder of Campagne restaurant, Peter Lewis, has just published his first novel: a wine-themed mystery entitled Dead in the Dregs. We are totally excited to have him in the shop to read from his book and sign copies, while we pour some of his favorite wines.
